So, it surely is too bad that Things From Another World hired someone else for the warehouse position they had open. It would have come in handy shortly when my current job suddenly is eliminated.

As someone who is having a bit of trouble getting a gig in which he hopes to actually work (and recieved training in to get an actual credential) I so very much feel for you.
I want to say “don’t give up”…I however have the feeling you don’t need me to tell you this.
I only just realized that this all comes down right before (ahem) Labor Day weekend. That’s awesome.
Earning a living is a hard fact of life. What makes someone employable is getting good at doing something that someone else needs to have done and is willing to pay the first someone to do it. Would you consider getting “training in [something] to get an actual credential” so that you would be more employable?
I can’t respond to that last comment yet. Wait until Tuesday.
