Here in the Portland of Oregon (a state where strippers are real strippers unrestricted by g-strings and the like), there’s a club called Union Jack’s (warning: strippers). Out in the Portland of Pennsylvania, there once existed, of all things, a cafe called Union Jack’s Pasties (warning: Google cache). This post, when combined with the new header graphic here, might suggest that I’m a patron of strip clubs. The reality is that I’ve only been to two such clubs in my life (both, appropriately enough, here in Portland), and I simply found the above somehow worth mentioning.
