Some of that $20 million bounty being put out for good news out of Iraq must be going to the GOP. According to their blog, violence in Bagdad is declining. But according to the Pentagon itself (in the words of The Washington Post) “[s]ectarian violence is spreading in Iraq and the security problems have become more complex” and “illegal militias have become more entrenched, especially in Baghdad”.
