Buried in the second page of this New York Times article is a bit about Gerry Spence, attorney for Brandon Mayfield, mulling the possibility of examining whether or not Bush’s extra-legal use of the NSA to datamine the communications of Americans was used against his client.
“We are going to look into that,” the article quotes Spence as saying. “The calmest word I can use to describe how I feel about this is that I am aghast.”
Hrm.
